Implementation of the training 4.0 program - connecting academic education to labor market needs
Keywords:

This technical report presents the Training 4.0 Program as a strategic response to the disconnect between academic education and the practical demands of the labor market. Based on a diagnostic built from qualitative and quantitative research, significant gaps were identified in the practical preparation and development of behavioral competencies among recent graduates and interns. In response to these findings, an educational solution was proposed, structured around five pillars: integrated practical activities, competency development, an online training platform, career mentoring, and partnerships with companies. The proposal was detailed using the Value Proposition Canvas, enabling alignment between student and organizational needs and the features of the solution. Although the program has not yet been implemented, the data collected reinforce its relevance and applicability, suggesting pathways for future actions that may enhance academic training and make it more aligned with the contemporary demands of the world of work. This work contributes to the debate on innovation in higher education and the redesign of institutional policies focused on employability. The methodology applied in this project was the Problem Solving and Opportunity Exploration (Marcondes, R.C.: Miguel, L.A. P.; Franklin, M. A, & Perez, 2017), based on the Business Problem Solving method.
